Overview

Are you tired of turning a wrench? Would you enjoy using your auto repair knowledge to help other mechanics?

 

Mitchell 1 (a division of Snap-on Tools) has an opening for a Product Content Support Rep(Auto Technician Customer Support) to start ASAP.

 

This position is an in-office full-time role, Monday-Friday, that is located at the Mitchell 1 headquarters in the San Diego office. 

 

Please do not apply if you do not have automotive experience and can not work onsite at our San Diego location, M-F.

 

Location: 16067 Babcock Street, San Diego, CA 92127

💵 Pay Rate: up to $28/hour

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (No weekends!)

🕘 Overtime available after training

Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, professional service to all customers
  • Quickly assess customer needs and either resolve the issue or route appropriately
  • Document all customer interactions via phone or email
  • Assist with product-related questions
  • Maintain accurate records using our tracking software
  • Follow established procedures and support guidelines
  • Expect to spend 50% or more of your day on the phone with customers

Qualifications

 What We’re Looking For:

    • Automotive repair experience and knowledge is required
    • Experience in telephone-based customer service is preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus
    • Familiarity with heavy-duty trucks is a bonus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
    • Minimum 1 year of experience with PC-based applications
    • ASE certifications are a plus
