Overview

Helps the Product Development Team maintain high standards of Software Quality, Performance, and Availability by leading the creation and execution of Test Plans and Test Automation Plans, including but not limited to Test Strategies, Acceptance Criteria, and Acceptance Tests.  Ensure product quality, stability, and the team’s ability to release at the end of each Sprint by creating and maintaining the QA Infrastructure required to maintain high confidence in the product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements and lead test development/design discussions, making recommendations to improve validation activities
  • Develop and maintain test scenarios, including both manual and automated approaches
  • Perform day-to-day testing of features and defects using available tools, including manual execution
  • Build and maintain automated tests for web applications
  • Develop and maintain a test harness and tests of web methods and services
  • Work with the rest of the Scrum team to characterize product issues and develop solutions to ensure features are capable of meeting customer needs and expectations
  • Clearly communicate and document software defects, including the details of the problem & steps for recreating
  • Monitor Continuous Build automation test failures and fix as needed
  • Coordinate deployment preparation and execution with the cross-functional team
  • Mentor less experienced Associates within the group.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is a strong plus.

 

Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Good technical knowledge. Recognized as technically competent with skills in C#, Selenium, Postman, and similar technologies.  Working knowledge of SQL a strong plus.
  • Understanding the automotive industry and Mitchell1 / Snap-On product offerings is a strong plus.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Experience working on Scrum Teams is a strong plus
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and related technologies preferred

 

 Salary range: $100k- $120K  annually, depending on experience
